Far East Film - Hospitality

Also this year the festival will offer some nights of accommodation to his guests. However, due to the economic crisis which is crushing our already small budget, we will ask you a small financial help for every night offered (from 5 to 10 EUR maximum per night, according to the type of accommodation). Cinema critics, specialized journalists, representatives of international festivals and film archives, buyers, as well as university professors and students of cinema and oriental languages, can apply for the Festival accommodation.


Requests can be made starting from 1st February 2013 by sending an e-mail to the Hospitality Office (registration@cecudine.org), clearly indicating the name of the company or newspaper/website/radio, TV station, university, film archive or festival, stating their role and their preferred length of stay at the festival.

Hospitality is usually offered to one representative per publication/website, festival, film archive or distribution company. The Far East Film Hospitality Office will reply as soon as possible to the request, indicating how many nights the Festival can cover.

Hospitality has to be requested by 5th April 2013. By 13th April 2013, registered people with accommodation provided by the festival will receive detailed information about their stay in Udine.

Type of accommodation: in a three star hotel, B&B or equivalent, located downtown or near the railway station (breakfast is included at the owner’s discretion).


With the aim of enhancing the knowledge of Asian cinema, Far East Film offers to university professors and students of cinema and oriental languages the possibility to have hospitality at the festival for free. The hospitality offered by the festival comprises a period of four nights for the professor and five students for each Institute/University and has to be requested within 25th March 2013. The request for the students has to be done by the reference professor.

It is possible to choose between two options:

Term A - from 20th April 2013 (arrival) to 24th April 2013 (departure)
Term B - from 24th April 2013 (arrival) to 28th April 2013 (departure)

Professors can apply for accommodation for themselves or for their students only. Every applicant will receive a confirmation e-mail if their hospitality request has been accepted.
The hospitality confirmation has to be followed within 8 days by the accreditation request along with a picture and proof of payment, otherwise accommodation will be cancelled.

Professors already in our mailing-list will receive the invitation, along with the information to apply for accommodation by e-mail.
University professors who are not included in the Far East Film mailing-list but are interested in attending the festival or in sending some students, can send an e-mail to registration@cecudine.org, specifying name and surname, position, university, faculty, department, course, e-mail, phone number and mobile. Also the students can write us to indicate the contact information of their professor, specifying the information above mentioned. 

Types of accommodation:
-    Professors and researchers: accommodation in a three or two-star hotel (or equivalent) located downtown or near the railway station, usually in single room if available (it will be particularly appreciated the availability to share a twin room with a colleague);
-    Other types of professors (i.e. delegates, supply professors): twin room accommodation in a two-star hotel (or equivalent) located downtown or near the railway station.
-    Students: accommodation in multiple bedrooms in hostels, two-star hotels, guest houses and  B&B.

Hospitality includes overnight stay and, when possible, breakfast. Groups of students coming from the same university are usually lodged in the same place. Rooms are assigned at our discretion and according to the gender. There are not many twin rooms available. As a consequence, when possible, they will be assigned to the couples of students who will request it on the hospitality request form.

If interested to attend the festival for more than 4 nights because of a particular interest in Asian cinema (thesis, university research and so on), please send an e-mail to registration@cecudine.org specifying your motivation. In this specific case, thanks to some families, it will be possible have hospitality also for the whole festival in some private houses.
