COVID 19 MEASURES - ITALY  - VALID UNTIL 30 APRIL 2022

FOREIGN CITIZENS ENTERING ITALY
When travelling to Italy it is mandatory:
- To fill out the digital Passenger Locator Form (dPLF). The dPLF can be exhibited in digital or printed format.
- To have one of the following certifications:
A. Completed vaccination cycle with a vaccine authorised by the European Medicines Agency (EMA)*, 
- issued less than 9 months ago (EU Digital Certification or equivalent certification for Italian authorities); 
- full vaccination with EMA-authorised vaccine and booster dose, in EU Digital Certification format or equivalent certification for Italian authorities).
B. Certificate of recovery from COVID-19, issued less than 6 months ago (EU Digital Certification format or equivalent certification for Italian authorities).
C. Negative molecular swab test result within 72 hours prior to entry into Italy or antigenic swab test within 48 hours prior to entry into Italy.
Entry into Italy is permitted in the absence of the above mentioned certifications, but the individual will be required to undergo quarantine, at the address indicated on the dPLF, for five (5) days, at the end of which they must undergo a certified molecular or antigenic test.

CINEMAS / MOVIE THEATRES / INDOOR LOCATIONS (Casa della Contadinanza / CISM)
In order to access cinemas/movie theatres and other indoor locations, the following items are mandatory:
- FFP2 mask (similar to N95 and KN95 masks);
- One of the following certifications:
A. Completed vaccination cycle with a vaccine authorised by the European Medicines Agency (EMA)*, 
1. issued less than 6 months ago (EU Digital Certification or equivalent certification for Italian authorities);
2. or issued more than 6 months ago (EU Digital Certification or equivalent certification for Italian authorities), showing proof of a negative molecular swab test result within 72 hours or an antigenic swab test within 48 hours prior to accessing the venue;
3. with an added, certified booster dose (in EU Digital Certification format or equivalent certification for Italian authorities).
B. Vaccination cycle completed abroad with 2 doses of a vaccine not authorised by the EMA, with proof of a negative molecular swab test result within 72 hours or an antigenic swab test within 48 hours prior to accessing the venue. 
C. Certificate of recovery from COVID-19, 
1. issued less than 6 months ago (EU Digital Certification or equivalent certification for Italian authorities), 
2. or issued more than 6 months ago (EU Digital Certification or equivalent certification for Italian authorities), showing proof of a negative molecular swab test result within 72 hours or an antigenic swab test within 48 hours prior to accessing the venue.

RESTAURANTS / BARS - Indoor
In order to access indoor restaurants and similar venues, the following items are mandatory:
- At least a medical-grade surgical mask;
- One of the following certifications:
A. Completed vaccination cycle with a vaccine authorised by the European Medicines Agency (EMA)*, 
1. issued less than 6 months ago (EU Digital Certification or equivalent certification for Italian authorities);
2. full vaccination with EMA-authorised vaccine and booster dose (in EU Digital Certification format or equivalent certification for Italian authorities).
B. Certificate of recovery from COVID-19, issued less than 6 months ago (EU Digital Certification format or equivalent certification for Italian authorities).
C. Showing proof of a negative molecular swab test result within 72 hours prior to accessing the venue, or an antigenic swab test within 48 hours prior to accessing the venue.

HOTELS – FOR FOREIGN CITIZENS 
It is mandatory to wear at least a medical-grade surgical mask.
