There's a new link to add to your favourites: www.fareastream.it. What is it, you ask? It's Fareastream, the first Italian platform dedicated exclusively to Asian cinema, and created by the largest Asian cinema festival in Europe - the Far East Film Festival of Udine!
From 9.00pm on Wednesday the 21st of October, lovers of Asian cinema will be able to access the best Made-in-Asia movies with a single click - from the blockbusters that broke box office records to cult movies beloved of  cinephiles, and even the best of the FEFF, like irresistible road movie Survival Family or two of 2020's hits, Kim Young-hoon's stunning Korean noir Beasts Clawing at Straws and the explosive, mystical, psychedelic Labyrinth of Cinema, Obayashi Nobuhiko's total work of art.
30 titles will be available on the 21st of October, meaning anyone wanting to travel the whole of Asia non-stop will have the chance to watch a film a day for a whole month! New content will be periodically uploaded, including hits from the FEFF, forgotten masterpieces, grand classics and premieres like Johnnie To's Throw Down (restored by the FEFF together with Bologna's L’Immagine ritrovata) and Ramen Heads, Koki Shigeno's incredible documentary on Japan's best chefs. Viewers can navigate the library's menu by genre and by country of origin or can choose to follow one of the itineraries provided: the one dedicated to the great auteur Ozu, for example, or the one dedicated to Donnie Yen's legendary performances as Ip Man.
Fareastream's technical partner is Mymovies.it, and it will only be viewable in Italy. Films will be available in dubbed versions (when available) and original language versions (with Italian subtitles).
