Call for entries for FOCUS ASIA - Far East in Progress 2023

For the forth consecutive year FAR EAST IN PROGRESS will present upcoming Asian feature films in post-production looking for festival premiere and international distribution; selected teams will have the chance to screen max 10′ of their films to a large panel of international sales agents, festival programmers and buyers from both Europe and Asia.
 
The platform represents a natural follow up for projects previously presented in Asian project markets or developed at workshops such as Ties That Bind. 

GUIDELINES & SUBMISSION

I. GENERAL GUIDELINES
Please note: the deadline for submitting a project to Far East In Progress is March 22, 2023.
In order to submit your application and the required material, you need to complete the online submission form following this link: https://vp.eventival.com/fareastff/2023.
All application materials and subtitles should be in English.
Selected projects will be notified by the beginning of April.
The selection committee's decisions cannot be appealed.

II. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Submissions should include: a complete online submission form in English and video material with a minimum duration of 15 minutes and with English subtitles.
The video material submitted can be selected scenes, first assembly or rough cut.
The video is mandatory to be available via streaming service password protected (e.g. Vimeo). No transfer services or cloud storage is accepted.
Incomplete applications will not be taken into consideration.

III. SELECTION CRITERIA
The project should be a feature fiction film or animation with theatrical and international market potential.
No specific themes or styles are preferred. There are no other specific fixed criteria and each individual project will be considered on its own merits, its cinematic language and the artistic imprint of the director.
Projects should be new or recent.
Projects should not have been presented at any public works in progress/screenings in Europe.
The project can be in different stages of post-production.
The project should have the director or a producer from any East Asian territories

IV. Specific Conditions:
There is no entry fee for applications and no participation fee.
Finished films that participated in FAR EAST IN PROGRESS should display its logo in their credits. The following sentence should be mentioned in the credit list: "This project has participated at FAR EAST IN PROGRESS" together with the FEFF logo.
