April 26/27/28 2017 – UDINE
TEATRO GIOVANNI DA UDINE / CINEMA VISIONARIO
THE FAR EAST FILM FESTIVAL’S INDUSTRY SECTION WILL BE THE VENUE FOR CULTURAL EXCHANGE BETWEEN EUROPE AND ASIA, A MARKET WHERE FUTURE GENRE FILM PROJECTS ARE DEVELOPED
During its 2016 edition, FEFF set up FOCUS ASIA to branch out even further and implement an Industry section, giving Asian and European buyers the opportunity to discuss genre film productions (finished projects). Taking the next step forward, FOCUS ASIA 2017 has became an actual film market where Asia and Europe shape the future of genre film.
The idea is to
create new connections already during the films’ initial production phase, putting together high-quality projects and key players from the respective film industries.
The selection of the projects has been handled by some of the major genre film festivals: Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (Bucheon, South Korea), Black Nights Film Festival - Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event (Tallinn, Estonia), Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia (Sitges, Spanish State) and the Nordisk Film & Fond’s Nordic Genre Boost (Oslo, Norway).
